About me...
I earned my B.Eng degree in Materials Engineering at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio - Brazil) in 2010 and my M.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemical & Metallurgical Processes also at PUC-Rio in 2012.
In 2014, I started working as a Project Engineer at PUC-Rio, within an industry-university partnership with Vale S.A. for the development of processing routes as well as to investigate the chemical fate of metals and halogens in pyrometallurgical processes. On that research topic, within the graduate's program stream of Extraction, Synthesis and Chemical Processing of Materials; I earned my Dr.Eng. in Materials Engineering, Chemical & Metallurgical Processes also at PUC-Rio in 2016. Additionally in this year, I accepted a Course Instructor position, for Chemical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, and later I was granted a Postdoctoral Fellowship both at PUC-Rio.

In 2018, I took over the Professor position (assistant, tenure-track) at the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering (Deqm). After the probation period, I was promoted to a tenured position in 2021.

In 2022, I was appointed as the Deqm/PUC-Rio Graduate Program Coordinator for a 2 years term. In that same year, I was awarded with a Professional Membership (MIMMM), Credential ID 684504, by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3). I am also a registered member (Credential ID 32210) by the Gesellschaft der Metallurgen und Bergleute (GDMB) since 2022.

In 2023, I was granted with a Research Productivity Scholarship (Level 2) by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). The fellowship, associated with a Pyrometallurgy project, was approved after peer-review within the Assessment Committee of Mining, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
